Teeth polishing and fillings!

May 1, 2014
There are some things I need to do like cleaning, polishing and filling my teeth before Invisalign. Have to remove my wisdom tooth next and I’m so scared :/
Did scaling, polishing, drilling and fillings last week at ToofDoctor!
My before! Can’t wait to say bye bye to this smile!
*Pardon my chapped lips and dry skin cos my skin was reacting very badly to the pimple cream I was using*
ToofDoctor is conveniently located at Tanjong Pagar Plaza which is a short 5 mins’ walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT station. The clinic is very prominent so I’m sure you will spot it very easily!
Very inviting and clean reception!
Waiting area which is filled with magazines and newspaper to keep you entertained (:
And this is the room where I get my teeth checked, cleansed etc!
Doctor Diong advised me to do a round of cleaning and fillings so my teeth will be healthy and clean for invisalign (: The whole process wasn’t painful or uncomfortable since numbing gel would be applied. The whole process took about 1.5 hours, pretty fast! (:
And that’s me doing a quick fluoride treatment to prevent tooth decay by making the tooth resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth! The treatment contains a much higher level of of fluoride than in toothpastes or mouth rinse so it’s really beneficial if you want to prevent tooth decay! Tooth decays are nasty! Besides, the treatment was really quick and easy.
After visiting ToofDoctor, I realised how important it is to keep your teeth in check regularly. Besides the basic brushing of teeth and flossing of teeth at home, you should visit your dentist regularly to cleanse your teeth and do preventive treatments like the fluoride therapy. After all, prevention is better than cure! You don’t want to hit 25 and only realize your teeth are decaying!
For those interested, you can call up ToofDoctor for your annual polishing/scaling or even just for consultation if you’re interested in braces or invisalign.

I’m super happy that my dental clinic is located in Tanjong Pagar, the area with tons of good food! I’m so excited for my subsequent visits cos I want to explore all the good food and I wanna share them with you! Maybe I could even do a “Tanjong Pagar food blog” hahaha.
So, this time I tried Keisuke Tonkotsu King @ Orchid Hotel. Heard a lot about them and finally got a chance to try their famous ramen! Super lucky there was no queue when I went!
Ordered their signature Tonkotsu ramen and boy was I impressed! Definitely one of the better ones I’ve eaten in Singapore. It could be the best actually? The soup was very savory, noodles were very bouncy and the meat was very tender! Only problem was the onsen egg was overcooked. They have free flow hard boiled eggs, spicy bean sprout and refillable water so I thought it was quite good. The bill came up to $17 after tax so it’s very reasonably priced too!

Headed to Selfish Gene cafe which is just a short walk away to study. Only drank their earl grey tea and didn’t get to try the food! Will try the food next time. Ambience was very pleasant though, and the smell of their freshly baked banana cake was soooooooooooooo good!!!! I was soooo tempted!
And yes some shameless selfies 😀
